New Post 20
I had a very dififcult situation with a home modification that went wrong. I was so supported by my clinical lead and the leadership team at Better Rehab to navigate the situation.

What started as teeny tiny Helensvale is now Arundel and I couldn’t be prouder. The cultural shift was big and at times hard, but we did it. Sabrea and Emily stood beside me the whole way. Their belief and backing is the reason it worked <3
Grateful for my Sutherland team and RM Kahli for checking in on me when I got injured during a speech session. I am thankful for OT Nicola and Kahli for picking up my tearful calls on the day of and supporting me through the incident. Thank you ❤️
Starting with fellow new grads has made the transition easier—learning together, supporting each other, and growing side by side. Having Zoya as my PBS buddy has been so valuable. Better Rehab sets grads up well, and having a buddy makes it even better.
OT/SP worked to answer a teenagers question, “What’s my diagnosis?”, knowing minimal info before this day. We sourced easy to read, age appropriate information that she understood to begin her journey of understanding herself. She learned who is ‘like’ her and is now approaching next steps.
Niamh Monaghan and I started in new roles in the same week: Niamh as Team Leader at Mac Park, and me as the new Allied Health Assistant. It’s been a huge change for me coming from big corporate environments, and Niamh has been so welcoming and supportive. She embodies Giving a Damn for us all!
A moment that stood out was when my supervisor Shaya spent three hours working through a complex behaviour support plan with me, teaching step by step and building my confidence.
Chloe (OT) and I (SP) support a ppt with a neurodegenerative condition and a complex family situation. Her OT insight and, just as importantly, our debriefs have been invaluable. The work is heavy and having Chloe to share the load with me has made all the difference.
Bridget, OT, and I (SP) share a very complex ppt. We have worked closely together to build a good working relationship with the Support Coordinator (who was initially very resistant to outside input), and this resulted in the ppt moving into a new SIL, now he is happy, healthy and well supported!
Pip, one of our OTs, initiated “better run club” in Geelong – a very inclusive post work run club., which has become an important feature of the week to cut through the challenges of NDIS work.
