We have managed to build rapport with a participant. It was previously reported pt disengaged with multiple clinicians and had never had a consistent MDT team. Following 4 joint sessions, pt’s mother – “this is the most X has ever engaged with clinicians…she would normally go to her room”
I have been having great success with support worker engagement in supporting SP and external MDT provider strategies for Key Word Sign/AAC modelling and emotional regulation – Having a fun time in the sun with my Autistic participant who absolutely loves water play and race cars!
Participant is starting day program this year (2025). Her OT/SP goals last year aimed to support this. OT and I are so proud of this participants willingness to take a chance and take action to achieve her social comm’n goals!!!
At the end of last year, SP&OT set up a joint trial of the Tobii-i13 & the Ability Drive for a participant with MND. The trial was organised in less than a week. It went ahead without a hitch. Greg was amazing with operating his wheelchair with the Ability Drive.
(PT) and (OT) were working collaborative with a Bariatric participant who was dependent on SW for personal carewhen toileting due to reduced UP function, trunk control, cognition and overall mobility. With HEP , OT capacity building and AT our participant is now independent with toileting
